Department of Ophthalmology

With high-tech equipment for testing and diagnosis, as well as a full fledged ophthalmologic OPD, Sen Hospital Ophthalmology department is equipped to handle the full range of medical as well as surgical eye problems. This department works closely with neurology department for optic nerve, pathology and the other departments for testing and diagnosis of serious conditions. Ophthalmology often gets referrals from Neurology, ENT and the Endocrine department. They work on screening eye problems that occur in conjunction with conditions being examined by the aforementioned departments.

At Sen Hospital we regularly treat ophthalmologic problems such as cataract, retinal detachment and injury, squint and other eye injuries. Being part of a tertiary hospital, the Ophthalmology department has access to well-equipped surgical OTs, a full set of surgical equipment and a well stocked blood bank.
